Backyard Wedding were definitely becoming a thing during the pandemic in 2020 and this one was in Litchfield Park, AZ. I was so honored to photograph Adam & Angie’s big day. These two are very much in-love. It was so great to see everyone know it, too. I was so happy to be a part of their big day.

Here’s a little back story to how I met this couple. I photographed their family photos earlier in the year. They came to me and wanted photos for what was about to be their blended family. Angie has three kids. Adam has four kids. So we did one big happy family photo session. It was great.

Funny story…one evening I received a text message from Angie asking me about where I live. I preceded to tell her. Then she asked about a car on the side of my house. At first, I’m like what’s going on? But then, it turns out she was my neighbor right across the street! We didn’t know each other and hadn’t even met before. I guess that shows you how much I get out in my own front yard (truly my backyard is my paradise). So fast forward to today, it’s kind of a funny story. I became her photographer first, before knowing she was my neighbor living in my own neighborhood. We now both get out in our front yard and when we see each other we chat. And now I also know both of the neighbors that live beside her, too. Ha ha!

I was so honored to photograph Angie & Adam’s wedding. In the middle of the ceremony, they did something special with the kids. They pulled them all to the center and it was making promises and vows to their kids. I have never seen anything like it and I was boo-hooing behind the camera. There have been a couple of times that I have cried behind the camera, I’m just glad I have the camera in front of my face to hide it. This was one of those times and I won’t forget it. It was so very very special. I’m so glad I got to be a part of this union.
