When I was invited to be a part of Cody and Whitney’s wedding day at the Ocoee River Barn in Benton, TN, I was thrilled. You see, I grew up with Whitney in Tennessee. She was always like a little sister to me. Her sister and I were childhood best friends. She made such a beautiful bride and her groom was very happy to be marrying her that day. The attendance and his groomsmen even kept commenting on how happy he looked.

Whitney and Cody’s wedding day was very traditional, which I love so much. They didn’t do a first look, but they ended up reading a letter to each other which was an intimate moment before the wedding. They still didn’t see each other, but only held hands and read something to each other that they had each wrote. It was so special.

I felt like this wedding definitely had some intimate moments. I loved being a part of their wedding day as their photographer, but I was literally crying behind the camera during the wedding since I was so close to this family. The reception really included intimate traditional dances under the low lit barn. They ended their wedding with a garter toss, bouquet throw, and a sparkler exit.

The Ocoee River Barn in Benton, AZ was beautifully decorated and I wanted to show a lot of wedding details for sure in the photos, so the Bride and Groom could look back and remember their wedding day. So happy to be a part of this beautiful day.
