Planning a wedding is no joke! And there are so many things to think about it can be overwhelming. It doesn’t have to be if you stick to your priorities. I wanted to share 3 tips to prioritizing your wedding budget.
Prioritize your non-negotiables. Try to get this down to 3 things. What are the 3 most important things to you for your wedding day? Maybe it’s the photos, the venue, and the dress. Or maybe it’s the Dj, the food, and how many are in attendance. Whatever it is, make sure those are the things you REALLY care about and spend the money on those things first. If you don’t care too much about the food, don’t spend a fortune catering. Invest more into what matters most.
DIY. I know – wedding planning is a lot. And maybe you aren’t so crafty. But you would be surprised on how many family members or friends are willing to help you out for your big day. Maybe you have a baker in the family that can do a cake or an artist that may help with stationary and invitations. Many are willing to step in helping you create your centerpieces, table cards, and decorations. And today with Pinterest, you can come up with some great ideas. I only wish Pinterest was around 20 years ago when I got married!
Choose your date wisely and book early. During the Arizona summer months, popular venues can be a steal as they offer huge discounts in the summer months due to the heat. Also, some vendors may offer a discount if you plan a Friday or Sunday wedding (or any different day during the week). Booking early is also important. With rising costs, vendors are having to raise prices. So the earlier you book with your favorite vendors, the better the deal especially if your wedding is next year.
With Memories by Candace, I do everything I can to help you if you asks me. Need a vendor? Ask me if I have worked with someone that I love before and that I can recommend. Need timeline help? When you book with me, I send you a full wedding guide and one of my most popular pages on it is the Timeline Tips. Also with each wedding booked, your engagement session is included – no matter what package you choose!
