Heritage Square + Downtown Phoenix

Lola

There is something so special about getting to spend real, unhurried time with my seniors, and Lola’s session at Heritage Square and Downtown Phoenix was exactly that. As a Phoenix senior photographer, I truly just love spending time with these kids, watching them get out of their comfort zone, and really rock their senior portraits!

Lola and I spent two full hours together during her Senior VIP experience, and from the very beginning, I knew it was going to be such a fun and meaningful shoot.

Lola had a vision right away. She wanted to shoot in downtown Phoenix after seeing photos on my website featuring another senior surrounded by blooming trees with spring flowers. She picked the perfect time.

Spring in downtown Phoenix is one of my favorite hidden gems. For a short window in March, certain spots come alive with the prettiest blooms, creating a soft and romantic feel right in the middle of the city.

She wore a cute white dress that paired beautifully with flower bouquet and the blooming flowers. The whole look felt fresh, feminine, and timeless, which is exactly what so many seniors are looking for when searching for Phoenix senior photo locations.

One of my favorite parts of Lola’s session was incorporating her next big step. She is heading to Arizona State University this fall.

We made our way to a spot across from Heritage Square to one of the ASU buildings in downtown Phoenix, where she changed into her ASU attire. I love when seniors include this part of their story because it makes their gallery feel even more personal and meaningful.

It is such a fun way to celebrate not just who they are now, but where they are going next.

We also captured that classic downtown Phoenix look with tall buildings, open streets, and a little bit of adventure. We even grabbed some movement shots in the road, dodging cars, and those ended up being some of my favorite images from her session.

One of the best parts of any senior photography session is the connection, and Lola and I realized we had something in common. She loves show choir, and I was involved in show choir when I was younger too. We spent time talking about her experience and everything she loves about performing.

Lola is graduating from Verrado High School in Buckeye, Arizona, and she represents everything I love about photographing seniors. She is kind, excited for the future, and completely herself.

If you are looking for high school senior photos, graduate photos, or a Phoenix senior photographer, I would love to help you create a session that feels just as personal and unforgettable.

If you are dreaming about senior photos in downtown Phoenix with flowers, city views, or even incorporating your future college like ASU, I am here to guide you through every step so your session feels effortless, fun, and completely you.
