From the very first click of my camera, I knew—serious photos just weren’t in the cards for these two. And honestly? That made their session even better. As an LGBTQ+ Phoenix photographer, I love capturing couples in their most natural, joyful moments.
Natalee and Abbie couldn’t help but laugh with one another, stealing glances and cracking up over the smallest things. I’d line them up for a more composed shot, and within seconds, they were grinning ear to ear, completely lost in their own world. So, I let go of the idea of “serious” and leaned into what made them them—playful, full of joy, and completely in sync.
Capturing Real Love & Authenticity in Phoenix
That’s the beauty of these first few moments of a session. It’s not just about posing; it’s about reading my couples, understanding their dynamic, and letting their personalities shine. Some couples sink into soft, romantic moments, while others—like Natalee and Abbie—fill the air with laughter. Either way, my job is to capture what’s real. And these two? Their love was nothing but pure, unfiltered happiness.
A Stunning Salt River Couples Session
While this wasn’t an engagement session, it was still just as special—Natalee and Abbie were celebrating their one-year anniversary together. They met online, and from the way they interacted, you could tell their connection was effortless.
For their session, we explored two breathtaking spots along the Salt River, a stunning location near Phoenix, AZ. We started at Coon’s Bluff, where the lush greenery and desert landscape gave us a gorgeous, natural backdrop. As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to the Water Users Recreation Area, where golden hour gave us the dreamiest glow reflecting off the water. Two locations, two completely different looks, but the same undeniable chemistry between these two.
