This time, we met at the Salt River, a location that never fails to deliver breathtaking scenery. With spring just beginning to bloom, the landscape felt fresh and full of promise, which was a perfect reflection of the new life on the way. The soft, golden light mixed with the subtle greens of the desert waking up from winter created a dreamy atmosphere for our session.
What made this session even sweeter was watching Kai in his curious, independent toddler era. He was so fascinated by the cars in the parking lot, pointing each one out with excitement. It’s these little quirks and tiny moments that I love capturing. Soon, those little hands that point out every vehicle will be reaching for his baby sister, and I have a feeling he’ll be the most loving big brother.
As we walked along the riverbank, I couldn’t help but reflect on the miracle of pregnancy. The fact that a woman’s body can grow and nurture life is nothing short of awe-inspiring. This mama, glowing with anticipation, carried both strength and softness, qualities that will undoubtedly shape the love she pours into both of her little ones. Every session reminds me how precious and fleeting these moments are, and it’s always an honor to preserve them.

One of my favorite moments captured of the session? As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting its warm glow, I captured an image of Kai leaning gently against his mama’s belly, his future baby sister resting just beneath his touch. It felt like a full-circle moment, a continuation of a story that began with that first maternity session.
