Phoenix Family Photos - Papago Park

Elhert Family

This family was an absolute blast to work with! The kids were uber excited during our session and full of energy, laughter, and personality from the very first shot. Honestly, they worked with me so well in achieving some different looks, from first photos of where everyone was glowing in that soft Arizona golden light to a sunset “rockstar band” family photo. Everyone was in such good spirits, and it really showed through every frame.

In all fairness, they were visiting Arizona for their family fall vacation…and let’s be real, we’re all in great moods on vacation. Between the warm weather, the red rock views, and the golden tones of Papago Park, this session was the perfect mix of fun and relaxed.

To make it even more special, mom and dad were celebrating 15 years together! Fifteen years, three kids, and a whole lot of life built together. That’s something worth capturing. You could just feel the love and joy between them, and it made the entire evening feel extra meaningful.

One thing that stuck with me was something mom said near the end. She mentioned how much she appreciated all my emails. I send guides, prep details, and communication leading up to their session. She told me she had never had a photographer do so much before! Can you believe that?! Honestly, that made me feel really good. Because to me, this is my job and I put a lot into what I do as a photographer. I try my best in creating an experience that’s smooth, personal, and stress-free. From helping with outfit ideas to guiding through location options, I truly want every client to feel taken care of before we even meet at the park.

We started our session with a golden sun in the desert and ended at sunset at Papago Park…the perfect backdrop for their Phoenix family photos. Every smile, every hug, and every laugh came so naturally, and by the end, it honestly felt like I was hanging out with old friends. Silly faces included!
