When I first met Cameron, I could immediately tell he had that quiet, thoughtful energy. The kind that makes you wonder what he is thinking but also the kind that usually opens up into something awesome once a little trust and comfort kick in. And that is exactly what happened during his senior photo session.
Cameron is a senior at Willow Canyon High School in Surprise Arizona and he has a passion for two things…basketball (specifically the Phoenix Suns) and hiking. That love for the outdoors made Sedona the perfect backdrop for his shoot. Between the red rocks and crisp views, we had nature putting on a full show for us.
We explored Courthouse Vista, one of my favorite Sedona spots. The light that evening hit just right and we were able to capture some amazing moments of Cameron with Bell Rock off in the distance. That mix of desert textures and towering red rock made for a stunning combo with his relaxed and sporty vibe.
At the start, Cameron was a little on the shy side and honestly that is something I expect and even look forward to with senior sessions. I make it a personal goal to create a space where seniors feel like they can let their guard down and just be themselves. By the time we wrapped things up, Cameron was completely owning it …posing with confidence, laughing, and soaking in the moment. That transformation is one of my favorite parts of this job. It is more than just capturing a milestone. It is about helping them see how awesome they really are.
Cameron, it was a joy photographing you in one of the most beautiful places in Arizona. I hope you look back on this season of life and see all the strength and growth you brought to the table. You are going to do amazing things on the trail, and beyond.
Cheers to the Class of 2025
