I first met mama during her maternity session in the Arizona desert. We had golden light, blooming cacti, and that magical pre-baby glow. It was such a beautiful evening. And just about a week later, baby CJ decided it was time to make his debut!
We photographed CJ’s newborn session at Studio House AZ, a cozy little natural light studio tucked into the heart of downtown Phoenix. Honestly, I can’t say enough about how perfect this space was – it had everything we needed: soft natural light, a peaceful setup, and a simple, homey feel that made everyone feel comfortable. It’s the kind of place that allows baby-led moments to unfold naturally without the stress of prepping your home or worrying about lighting.
CJ was a dream to photograph. Truly. He was this little wrapped-up bundle of joy who gifted us with the sweetest baby smiles during the session. You know when a newborn just feels like sunshine? That was CJ. Calm, content, and already stealing hearts.
What I loved most about this session (besides that sweet baby face) was how simple and intentional it felt. Mom and dad weren’t ready to be in photos just yet, but they were there with baby, and the quiet love that fills the room when you’re soaking in those early newborn days. Studio sessions like this are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. They’re relaxed, distraction-free, and focused entirely your baby.
