I was thrilled to get a call from a videographer that I have worked with asking me to photograph this wedding, as his couple was needing a wedding photographer at The Cottage Wedding Venue in Gilbert, AZ. It’s why I love making connections at weddings with different vendors, because you start realizing who is reliable and who would make someone’s day complete.
This wedding venue location is in historic downtown Gilbert and is full of ambiance and charm. It gives a backyard wedding feel to it, but having the amenities of a wedding venue including catering and coordinating. The owners of this space actually have owned quite a bit of restaurants, including Zappone’s Italian Bistro in Gilbert. The food was absolutely amazing and tasteful. With a full day of wedding photography, when the guests are eating, it’s also our turn to feed our face. We don’t capture photos of face feeding. Sitting at the table with my own plate of food, I will say it’s some of the best wedding food I have taken in.
I was happy to photograph and capture Brian and Stevie’s wedding day. This was a first time for me at this venue and while there wasn’t a lot of space for photos, it gave that intimate small backyard wedding feel to it. And we literally made use of the space that we did have and I feel like we still got some great photos that will also capture where they were married for them to look back on in the future.
