Enter Dane, our high-flying senior, whose life literally revolves around aviation. Dane is graduating from Shadow Mountain High School. Most teens might have their heads in the clouds, but Dane? He’s actually up there, flying high! He’s all set on a future zipping through the skies, be it in a commercial jet or at the helm of a cargo plane. Talk about lofty dreams!

This love affair with the skies runs in the family. His dad, also a pilot, helped us get the VIP pass to this cool airport backdrop for our shoot. When Dane’s feet are on the ground, he’s swinging clubs on the golf course or jamming out to tunes—Kenny Chesney’s country vibes included.

Capturing Dane among the planes, I couldn’t help but get swept up in his passion and bright-eyed plans for the future. Every shot we took felt like we were freezing a frame of his dreams in the making. It’s these shoots that remind me why I adore my job so much—bringing out and capturing the unique stories of incredible people.
