As a photographer, constantly updating my website can be a delightful yet daunting task. Every click brings up a flood of my favorite images, making it a challenge to pick just a few to showcase.
So, this day started with a beautiful Catholic wedding ceremony in Sun City and concluding in Marley Park, Surprise, AZ. Catholic weddings have a certain magic to them, with their rich traditions and stunning rituals. The churches in the Phoenix area are architectural masterpieces, each one more breathtaking than the last. I can hardly wait to pull up these images on my computer every time!
After the ceremony, we made our way to Marley Park for some enchanting couple photos. Marley Park is more than just a picturesque location; it’s Chelsea’s neighborhood, where her parents’ home is nestled. Surprise, Arizona, despite its growth, still retains that charming small-town vibe just outside of Phoenix.
Chelsea and Brian chose a spot in their own neighborhood park for the photos, a place that holds a special memory for them. It was there, amidst the greenery and orchard trees, that Brian first dropped the “L word”—L.O.V.E. Imagine them as high school sweethearts, walking hand in hand through the park, Brian nervously but earnestly telling Chelsea he loved her. Yes, these two have been together since high school. How romantic!
After high school, Brian went off to West Point, while Chelsea completed nursing school. They both graduated this year and waited for each other to tie the knot. Now, they’re off to Fort Leonard Wood for Brian’s Officer Chemical Training—a place my husband also visited for his own Army training. Ah, young love!
And here’s a fun twist: when Chelsea booked me as their wedding photographer, Brian realized something amazing. He recognized me as a swim mom from his high school days! He used to be on the Valley Vista High School swim team with my daughter. Talk about a small world! It was surreal to see this young man, who I once cheered for at swim meets, now standing before me, ready to start a new chapter with his beloved Chelsea. Isn’t life just full of wonderful surprises?
