Jessica and Thomas tied the knot in October 2023 with a courthouse wedding, but they missed out on capturing those precious moments on camera. Thankfully, they seized the opportunity for an engagement – elopement session now. Jessica had a clear vision in mind, and after some back and forth, she fell in love with the idea of a Sedona session, inspired by a post on my website showcasing the picturesque setting near Oak Creek.
So off we went, heading north for their session. Let me tell you, these two were absolutely adorable. They’ve known each other for 8 years – funnily enough, Jessica used to be Thomas’ boss, which brings back memories of my own love story. There’s something thrilling about keeping romance under wraps in the workplace, don’t you think?
Thomas had us in stitches the entire time. His sense of humor was infectious, and I nearly burst out laughing when he started dancing a jig on cue. It’s clear that Jessica adores the fun and laughter he brings to their relationship.
Returning to this location in Sedona was like revisiting an old love. While the greenery wasn’t as lush by the creekside this time around, the nearby surroundings still provided plenty of natural beauty. Each time I shoot here, I fall in love with it all over again, reminiscing about the previous seasons and the memories captured in this stunning backdrop.
I appreciated Jessica’s keen sense of vision and style, which ultimately led them to choose me for their session. She was drawn to my editing style and overall body of work. Jessica made it clear that she wanted to incorporate some wide shots, which align perfectly with my artistic approach. This mutual appreciation for the creative side of photography and attention to angles gave me the confidence to do what I do best – capture moments that speak to the heart.
