Brayden is a senior at Verrado High School, and we kept his session close to home in Verrado, Arizona. Photographing him in the place he grew up made the entire session feel more personal, and it gave us access to a wide range of backdrops without ever having to travel far.
We moved through a mix of locations, including open desert scenery and areas around Main Street in Verrado. That combination always works so well for senior sessions because it brings in both natural Arizona landscapes and a more clean, structured look. It gave Brayden’s gallery a lot of variety while still keeping everything cohesive to his story.
Basketball is a big part of his life right now, so he brought his basketball along for part of the session. Including it was an easy decision. Senior photos should reflect who someone really is during this season, and for Brayden, that meant highlighting the sport he has dedicated so much time and energy to.
He is currently in the process of choosing where he wants to go to college and where he will continue playing basketball. With multiple scholarship opportunities in front of him, he has some big decisions ahead. One of his top choices right now is Hawaii, but he is open to going wherever the right opportunity takes him.
Even though he was born and raised in Arizona, he is willing to step outside of what is familiar and pursue something bigger. That kind of mindset will take him far, both on and off the court.
Brayden was also incredibly easy to photograph. He showed up respectful, relaxed, and fully present, which always makes a difference in how a session flows. Everything felt natural, and that always comes through in the final images.
Senior sessions like this are about more than just photos. They capture a moment right before everything shifts. For Brayden, this season is full of decisions, growth, and new opportunities, and it was an honor to document this time for him in Verrado, the place that has been home.
